current resident clown Fabien

Avalon is humming away and despite the rain everyone is enjoying the summer. There has been a lot of work going on this summer – we’ve repainted the whole building and we’re putting in new carpets throughout the building so the House will be even better!
We’ve had a lot of interesting entertainment in the last few months. Free tango classes every night until the end of August with Jose our resident teacher from Argentina. We have had Irish dancing classes with another Jose from Spain, a 30 piece choir from the UK, clowns, guitarists, double bassists, mandolin players and loads more. If you’re coming to Avalon be sure to see if there is anyone performing – they’re well worth seeing.
Dublin is heaving with festivals at the moment – be sure to check out the Dun Laoghaire World Music festival from 24-27 August – it’s a fantastic festival and most of it is free. Check out http://www.festivalofworldcultures.com for more details.
